The 2012 Ouray Ice Festival it was a total blast.This festival it is my favorite, I can see friends that I haven't seen in a while, teach clinics for some of my sponsors and do the mixed climbing competition.The festival opening was on Thursday starting with two slide shows, one given by my room mate Dawn Glanc and the other was given by myself about the last expedition that I did in Kyrgyzstan.

I always ask myself way the French and Euros Mixed Climbers in general are so Strong and after coming to this place I find out way.This cave have some of the most impressive Dry tooling that I have ever see. This cave is about 150 meters long and have more than 20 different routes from M6 TO M14 and Because the rock is very bat, all the routes are drill and the holes are mark with little paint.

First day of dry tooling of the season!!!!Ouray is on fire with the beautiful sunny day....Good pump, good friends, lost of Smiles :)... We went to camp bird road and play on some easy M6 M7 routes....I'm psyched !!!!!!!! is on baby!!!!!

The thing is crazy looking.... I rack up jacket off and there I went... the thing is mainly slightly overhanging 6 camalots and Sig sag to a 4 1/2 Camalots Bombay and finish on a splitter of 3 1/2 and 4 Camalots.... this route is pretty hard harder than other 5.12 a b c that I have done on the same area.

We spot this awesome splitter 3 years ago with Craig Luebben. Is on of the most beautiful out there. since he is not here is this world I decided to make it his memorial route :)
